The celebrations and presentations that took place at the company?s Albstadt, Germany base were the culmination of a project that began with the planning phase in 2005, saw constriction beginning in 2007 and concluded with last week?s official inauguration.
Welcoming both local dignitaries and guests, customers and partners from around the world, Dr. Thomas Lindner, Chairman of the Board, explained that the ?70 million investment from Groz Beckert was a key factor in ensuring the company?s future economic and technological development. ?The Technology and Development Centre represents a comprehensive approach to securing innovation,? Dr. Lindner said, outlining why Groz Beckert had invested such a high sum in troubled economic times. ?We think in the long term, and we are convinced that innovative strength will enable us to survive difficult times in the future as well."
