Albstadt -Circular knitting machine builder Mayer & Cie has outlined its growth plans for the next couple of years, which include investments in facilities, personnel and new technology including a double jersey version of its best-selling MSC 3.2 model for the Chinese market.

Reporting a 7% increase in turnover to €90 million Benjamin Mayer, Managing Director at Mayer & Cie said that the largest individual share will go to the expansion and modernisation of the company's headquarters in Germany. Around €4 million has been earmarked to expand the capacity in the production line in all locations, to modernise the company’s own machinery and comply with new software requirements. Also on the agenda is a plan to increase in size of the subsidiaries in China and the Czech Republic.
