Paris – Indian government and trade officials embarked on a series of high level trade delegation visits to France and Germany last month aimed at attracting foreign investment into the country’s knitwear and knitted garment sectors.

As well as encouraging textile machinery companies, textile and clothing brands to increase their investments in the Indian domestic market, the delegation was also looking to encourage companies to establish manufacturing bases in the country.
