Turkey ? Topics at the 47th International Federation of Knitting Technologists (IFKT) conference will include innovation in knitting technology and knitting machines, fashion in knitting and clothing, and simulation and modeling.

The congress will be held simultaneously with EGMEDITEX (International Congress on Healthcare and Medical Textiles), at the Boyalik Beach Hotel, ?esme, Turkey, on September 25-26 2014.

Other topics under discussion will include new fibres and materials; technical textiles; functional knitted materials; comfort and wellbeing; fashion in knitting and clothing; quality and testing in knitting and education in knitting.

Organised by the department of textile engineering, at Ege University, Turkey, organisers say the congress will provide a platform for academics, researchers and industry members to network and exchange information from the knitting and technology industry.

The deadline for full text submission is now July 18 with early bird registration closing on August 8.
