Albstadt-Lautlingen - Beck GmbH is addressing uncertainty in the global knitting sector with a combination of brand new circular knitting machines aimed at niche markets and an increasingly important reconditioned machine business.

Circular knitting machine builder Beck GmbH has responded to the uncertainty currently enveloping the global market with the development of two new bespoke machines.

Based in the Albstadt-Lautlingen region of Southern Germany, Beck has been in business for more than four decades and has been manufacturing its own high quality circular knitting machines for more than 14 years.

Over the decades its has become synonymous for its work on fine gauge knitting machines and has also built up a strong reputation for its work on reconditioned models with managing director Oliver Beck hailing the exceptional quality of this second hand technology.

The company’s existing customers are manufacturers of high quality fabrics in Italy, Germany and other parts of Western Europe and the company has a reputation for working closely with these customers on development projects. The technology is currently selling well in Europe although there is also strong interest at the moment from South America, particularly in niche markets where fabric manufacturers are keen to work with a machine builder that is able to respond quickly to specific requests.
