Colombo - MAS Holdings, one of Sri Lanka's largest knitted fabric and clothing manufacturers, has announced the completion of the second phase of ‘Project Photon’, its roof mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar power project which, the company says, cements its position as Sri Lanka’s largest generator and supplier of roof-mounted solar energy.

Prior to project photon which was launched in 2017, MAS Holdings operated just 1.7MW of solar capacity scattered across various locations. With the group’s commitment to fast-tracking the switch to renewable energy, it quickly added 16MW of solar power across 18 locations over the next few years.
