Tel Aviv - Delta Galil, the Israeli manufacturer of intimate apparel, active and seamlesswear, has been named as the first beta customer for a new proprietary digital selective thread dyeing system from digital print specialist Twine Solutions.
Twine’s single thread dyeing system is a disruptive technology which continuously operates on raw, white fibres, allowing its customers to computationally change the colour of dye throughout processing. Because of this, Twine’s digital selective treatment is said to eliminate the need for coloured thread stock, subsequently reducing waste and cost.
As the first manufacturer to trial Twine’s new thread dyeing system, Delta Galil said that its diverse portfolio of apparel products would benefit from more flexible production technologies. As a producer of everything from men’s and women’s clothing to shapewear and socks, Delta can now instill a one-size-fits-all way of working, digitally dyeing its products with Twine’s new solution.
“Known for its innovative mindset, it is only natural for Delta Galil to join forces and collaborate with Twine,” said president of Delta’s global upper market, Ghi Shimon. “This will enable Delta to bring its customers the most updated digital solutions for textile, making sure they continue to be market leaders in their field.”
Twine’s CEO and co-founder, Alon Moshe added: “Delta are high quality apparel global leaders who continuously focus on quality, design and innovation. We are thrilled that they have embraced Twine’s cutting-edge technology, together we will revolutionise the thread, fabric and garment industries.”
