Brescia - Sandonini, the Italian manufacturer of hosiery, seamless and circular knitting machines will be at the upcoming FIMAST exhibition with a range of its  'Made to Measure' machines.

"We sell the machines in more than 60 country in the worldwide market," explains the company's Fiorenzo Sandonini. "Last year we created a type of revolutionary hosiery machine to make a range of innovative footwear called ShoeSocks3D. We will be focusing on the latest machines for the production of 'ShoeSocks 3D' at the upcoming FIMAST exhibition."

The latest machines on offer include retrofitted hosiery single cylinder machines in diameters 3 1/2 ins, 3 3/4 and 4 ins.

According to Sandonini, dial and cylinder rib In diameters 4 ins and 4 1/2 ins can also produce the ShoeSocks 3D.

The ShoeSocks 3D are knit in a single, three-dimensional piece and are then ready to fit on to the form for the finishing process. Once completed, they are then ready to be attached to any type of sole.

With a production time of just three minutes, Sandonini also notes that the whole production process ensures no waste.

Capable of using a wide variety of natural or synthetic yarns, there are also a range of different fabric types on offer including jacquard, terry, mesh knit, rib and knit links jacquard. Quick changes in terms of style, model and size are also possible.

As well as sock knitting machines, Sandonini offers spare parts such as needles, sinkers and other units as well as installation and training services. All machines on sale undergo a thorough inspection and cleaning process before being refurbished to full working order.

After the reconditioning process, machines are given a final inspection and finally, they are repackaged, with the appropriate manuals and cables.
