Brescia - Hosiery and sock knitting machine specialist Busi Giovanni says it has produced the first protective masks on its machines in collaboration with a renowned Italian sock manufacturer.

"In such an emergency situation due to Covid19 our company is glad to announce that Busi together with a famous Italian sock-producer has produced the first protective masks by means of BUSI sock-knitting machines," the company said in a statement.

The masks, which are washable and can then be used several times, can be reduced in a range of yarns such as cotton, wool, polyester, polyamide and other materials.

Although Busi notes that the masks are not medical appliances, nevertheless, they are a real valid alternative to protect yourself thereby helping to meet the demand during a time of serious shortages around the world.
