Milan - Orders for Italian textile machinery were up 15 per cent in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the same period last year, with the industry particularly encouraged by a 7 per cent increase in domestic orders and a huge leap in sales to Bangladesh.
With domestic markets offering a surprising fillip to the latest figures, Raffaella Carabelli, President of ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, also suggested that the industry was particularly optimistic about future orders from Iran.
