Taipei ? Taiwan?s
Hosiery Manufacturers' Association (THMA) has welcomed the government's
decision to sign an economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA) with China. As well as opening up a market of more than
one billion hosiery users in China, the agreement could also stem the practice
of some Taiwanese traders who import cheap hosiery from China via a third
country and relabel the smuggled goods so they appeared to be from other
countries in South East Asia.
