Karl Mayer celebrates 75 years

Obertshausen - Warp knitting machine builder Karl Mayer will be celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The celebrations will mark several milestones in the company?s history, particularly its rapid growth from the sale of its 1,000th warp knitting machine in 1954 to its 100,000th in 2010.
Karl Mayer is renowned throughout the industry for being one of the first European knitting machine builders to spot the huge potential of China as a manufacturing base and was subsequently one of the first to establish a subsidiary in the country that is now the world?s largest producer of clothing and textiles.
