Shanghai - More than 4,000 suppliers and 70,000 trade buyers will gather for Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, at the end of September with the earlier date for the key trade show proving extremely popular with exhibitors and visitors alike.
Signed up to return with their Group Pavilions and brand partner mills, from 27 – 29 September, are Birla, DuPont, Hyosung, Invista and Lenzing, while ECOCERT / GOTS and OEKO-TEX will also have their own pavilions in the All About Sustainability area.
In the Functional Lab area, key suppliers such as Aquafil, Nilit, Toray and Unifi will feature again, while 3M are confirmed to participate in Accessories Vision. Two international promotion bodies Cotton Council International and The Woolmark Company will also return, as will global Chinese firm Bros Eastern and Huafu Fashion. Among the many Japanese participants will be Komatsu Seiren and Stylem, while Dormeuil and Malhia Kent from France will participate again this year.
The show's product groups include cotton, wool, man-made, silk, linen / ramie, denim and knitted fabrics, as well as lace & embroidery, fibres & yarns, garment & fashion accessories, original pattern designs, sustainability products & services and digital printing technologies.
The unavailability of three halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in the latter part of this year has resulted in a reorganisation of the hall allocation, with the two International Halls being 4.1 and 5.1 this edition, and domestic exhibitors grouped by product end-use throughout eight halls.
The new layout is:
Hall 4.1

Country / region pavilions: India (TEXPROCIL and Indian Chamber of Commerce Pavilions), Pakistan and Taiwan
Group pavilions: Birla, DuPont, Hyosung, Invista and Lenzing
Feature zones: Digital Printing Zone and Functional Lab

Hall 5.1

Country / region pavilions and zones: France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey, as well as the Milano Unica Pavilion
Group pavilions: ECOCERT / GOTS, Korea Textile Center, Korea Textile Trade Association and OEKO-TEX
Feature zones: All About Sustainability, Premium Wool Zone, SalonEurope and Verve for Design

Domestic exhibitors

Accessories Vision: hall 6.2 (includes overseas exhibitors and the Button & Garment Accessories Industry Chamber Pavilion)
Beyond Denim: hall 7.2 (includes overseas exhibitors, and the Pakistan and Invista Pavilions)
Casual wear: halls 1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.2 & 8.2
Functional / sportswear: hall 1
Ladieswear: halls 7.1, 7.2, 8.1 & 8.2
Lingerie & swimwear: hall 8.1
Shirting: hall 6.1
Suiting: halls 6.1 & 7.1

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will still run concurrently with the CHIC and PH Value fairs this edition, which take place in halls 2 & 3.
Meanwhile, the dates for this year's Yarn Expo Autumn exhibition have been switched with the show now set to run alongside the upcoming ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition.
Yarn Expo Autumn normally runs in conjunction with Intertextile. However, a shortage of hall space at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, brought about renovation work, means the Yarn Expo event will now take place from 15 – 17 October, the same time as the biennial ITMA Asia + CITME which runs for two extra days until 19 October.
