Underwear program drives Gildan

Montreal - Gildan Activewear has posted record second quarter results, driven by a 50 per cent increase in underwear sales from the company's new private label program.
As expected, revenues for the second quarter returned to a growth trajectory with sales of US$802 million in the quarter. This was another second quarter record, up approximately 5% over last year, setting the company on track to deliver its full year sales target of mid-single-digit growth.
