Winston-Salem - HanesBrands Inc has posted a 16 per cent drop in fourth quarter sales to US$1.47 billion, hit by a slowdown in consumer spending in the U.S. and certain international markets.
Although in line with expectations, the slowdown was coupled with the continued impact to orders in the U.S. from retailers’ decisions to reduce broader inventory positions.
