Spinnova and Tearfil start up co-owned spinning line

Guimarães - Portuguese yarn manufacturer Tearfil, a key supplier to the knitting sector, has installed a new spinning line which it will operate in partnership with Finnish textile fibre manufacturer Spinnova.
The result of a yarn development cooperation agreement first announced in June 2003, the two companies will share the capacity of the line with Spinnova able to use it for product development and the testing of its wood-based cellulose fibre made out of textile and agricultural waste, without the use of potentially harmful chemicals.
