Drop in overseas orders hits Italian machinery builders

Milan – Orders for Italian textile machinery declined 19% in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to the latest figures, with only sales to the domestic market and China not registering a drop in business.
ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers said that compared to the same period in 2023, in absolute terms, the index stood at 49.6 points (base 2021=100).
