Fruit of the Loom has introduced its Fresh Collection apparel line to address a perceived gap in the US market for value-focused, inclusive basics for young women

BOWLING GREEN – Fruit of the Loom has launched its Fresh Collection apparel line in the United States, describing it as a strategic expansion aimed at young women aged 13–22 who are transitioning between youth and adult departments.

The move is intended to strengthen the company’s position in the value segment for everyday intimates and casualwear while aligning with evolving preferences among Gen Z consumers.

According to the company, the new range focuses on modern, minimalist styling applied to core essentials rather than fashion-led seasonal pieces. For mills and knitting suppliers, this suggests ongoing demand for reliable programmes in cotton‑rich and blended jersey fabrics, suitable for large‑volume, repeat production rather than short runs.

The Fresh Collection is positioned around comfort and quality, building on Fruit of the Loom’s existing innerwear business while updating fits and silhouettes for a younger consumer who may be moving out of traditional girls’ departments. Although technical specifications are not disclosed, the line is likely to draw on the company’s established base in circular‑knit underwear and loungewear fabrics for briefs, bras, tops, and related items.

A key element of the launch is an adjusted sizing approach that aims to be more inclusive and easier to navigate at point of sale. The company says this redefined “standard” sizing is intended to reduce friction during purchase and support longer‑term brand loyalty among first‑time buyers.

Creative Director Athena Wrann said the project is a response to the lack of product for consumers who feel caught between younger and older categories. “With the Fresh Collection offering, we wanted to create something that sits comfortably in‑between – easy, modern, and designed to let her be herself,” she noted.

Diana Harl, Vice President of Innerwear at Fruit of the Loom, added that the development is an evolution of the brand’s established positioning on comfort and value. “We have focused on this underserved female segment, and created fresh product designed to reflect Gen Z’s values of self‑acceptance, authenticity, and individuality,” she said.
