India’s first hemp fibre‑to‑yarn chain targets knitwear demand

Dallas - US hemp processor Panda Biotech has partnered with India’s Culturewell Hemp to establish what is being billed as the country’s first integrated hemp fibre‑to‑yarn supply chain for the knitwear and knitted fabric sector.

The collaboration aims to supply certified, mechanically‑processed hemp fibres and blends into Indian spinning and knitting mills for applications ranging from coarse knits and denim to lighter‑weight knitted fabrics and technical textiles.
