Carbios expands licensing offering to knits market

Trials support commercialisation of licenses dedicated to knitted textiles containing PET polyester fibres

Clermont-Ferrand – French biotechnology company Carbios is to expand its licensing offering from the packaging to the knitted textile market following the successful completion of production trial batches at its demonstration plant.

The company has been advancing the extension of its enzymatic biorecycling process to the treatment of textile waste rich in polyester fibres since 2025.
