Keel Labs and Mr. Bailey debut Kelsun knit

North Carolina - Biomaterials company Keel Labs, formerly known as AlgiKnit, has partnered with fashion designer Daniel Bailey on new knitted applications for its Kelsun seaweed-based fibre.
The ‘Starboard Vest’ was knit with a 50/50 Kelsun fibre and cotton blend. It has three successive layers of different knit constructions and utilises a trapunto technique to connect the vest's exterior shell and contrasting ribs.
