Research explores seamless knits for foot ulcer treatment

York - A new generation of seamless wound dressings may soon transform care for diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), a debilitating complication affecting millions of people with diabetes worldwide.
Researchers have developed and rigorously tested innovative fabrics, produced on Santoni seamless knitting machines, that combine lyocell and silver-plated polyamide fibres, aiming to harness the strengths of both materials for faster healing and infection control.
