Obertshausen
- Karl Mayer has developed an active pattern beam drive for its high-speed lace
machines.

The
warp knitting process must be able to handle different levels of yarn
consumption with a high degree of flexibility to produce the wide variety of
different patterns ? and this must be harmonised with the operating speed. Until
now, depending on the speed of the machines, two systems have been used to
deliver the pattern yarns, i.e. pattern beams and creels.
