Global knitting machine parts market is set for smart-component shift, driven by precision engineering and predictive maintenance as well as by unit volume

London - The world market for knitting machine parts is being reshaped by maintenance demand, retrofit activity and the first wave of digitally enabled components, a new report suggests.

The report says the market remains anchored in consumable wear parts for weft and warp knitting, but is moving towards mechatronic systems – essentially the integration of mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, and control engineering to design and create intelligent, automated systems – as well as predictive maintenance and more specialised aftermarket supply.
