CovationBio launches bicomponent stretch fibre

Newark - US materials firm Covation Biomaterials, manufacturer of Sorona polymer, the partially bio-based polymer brand that has a number of applications in performance knitwear, has introduced Sorona Elasterell‑p, a new bicomponent stretch fibre.

Produced in Newark, Delaware, and now commercially available across the United States and Latin America through regional partner Mercados Internacionales (MI), the fibre combines a partially plant-based Sorona polymer with an Elasterell‑p component to deliver durable stretch and high shape retention without elastane, positioned for use in knitted activewear, athleisure and workwear fabrics.
