Gildan ups machine investment, eyes Asia

Montreal - Gildan Activewear is to significantly increase the number of knitting
machines at its new sock facility in Honduras
and is also looking for further new manufacturing opportunities in Asia.

Although it already has an export base in China, serviced by the production facilities at
its Central American and Caribbean base, Gildan is also keen on a manufacturing
platform in Asia to help it service the huge market
potential there.
