Schmallenberg - Warp knitting applications in winter sports are continuing to advance with German firm Falke, traditionally known as a hosiery manufacturer, using some of the latest technology in its latest insulation underwear for skiers.
Such is the success of Air Insulation technology, the company was awarded a 2014 ISPO Gold Award at this year?s event after impressing judges with its use of raschel knitting techniques to create open ventilation zones which grow larger with movement in order to provide an optimised temperature and moisture management. Rubbing points are also reduced to a minimum through the absence of seams.
