Montreal - The leadership row at Gildan Activewear has escalated this week with news of a shareholder revolt expressing dissatisfaction of the recent sacking of chief executive officer Glenn Chamandy.
Los Angeles-based investment firm Browning West LP is seeking a special shareholders’ meeting at Gildan to elect five new directors for the company’s 11-member board with a number of additional institutional shareholders also coming out publicly in support.
