Obertshausen - As innovative spacer fabrics continue to transform the athletic footwear market, warp knitting machine builder Karl Mayer says that its new Textile Innovation Centre is set to become a driving force behind the next generation of performance footwear.

Karl Mayer notes that the athletic footwear market promises steady growth. By 2030, it is expected to grow by about 15% annually worldwide and reach a volume of approximately US$462 billion, with knitted textile innovations acting as one of the primary drivers of this expansion.
