Strong growth for Uzbek knitted fabric sector

Tashkent - Uzbekistan’s large-scale textile enterprises produced 70,100 tonnes of knitted fabric in 2025, a 32.5% increase on 2024, as the country accelerates its transition from raw cotton exporter to integrated textile supplier.

The growth is said to support a broader strategy to retain more value domestically by expanding spinning, knitting, dyeing and finishing capacity for export markets.
