Dalekvam - French sporting goods manufacturer Rossignol is looking to expand its knitwear offering with the acquisition of Norwegian flat knitter, Dale of Norway. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dale is headquartered in Dalekvam, Norway, and manufactures 100 per cent wool knitwear. The company employs 62 people in Norway and in its sales office in the USA. Over the years, the company has invested heavily in WHOLEGARMENT and seamless knit & wear machines from both Shima and Stoll respectively and is known for its sweaters and accessories based on traditional Norwegian jacquard design.
The Rossignol Group, which has been majority owned by the Nordic focused Private Equity firm Altor since 2013, offers knitwear as a key part of its business and will use Dale's facility in Norway to expand its Rossignol Apparel arm.
