Platform aimed at improving sustainability and responsible business practices in Bangladesh’s knitwear sector

Dhaka — The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has launched an ESG Dashboard to advance sustainability practices throughout the country’s knitwear and wider ready-made garment (RMG) sector.

The BGMEA ESG Data Disclosure Platform initially covers 326 factories and 584,371 workers. It is intended to support factory-level reporting, identify performance gaps and inform policy and investment decisions as the industry works towards BGMEA’s Sustainability Vision 2030.
