Obertshausen - Warp knitting machine manufacturer will present a range of its latest technology at the upcoming ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition.
The Obertshausen, Germany-based firm will exhibit in Stand B 11, H 4 under a 'mega trends' theme which entails demonstrating how it is possible to implement such major topics as innovation, digitization and sustainability.
"As far as digitization is concerned, Karl Mayer will underline its position as the undisputed number one in the market," the company said, highlighting how for the development of new digital solutions, it recently set up its own company with the new, digital brand due to be launched at the show.
In terms of sustainability, Karl Mayer says it will provide versatile solutions under the motto 'Cleaner Productions'. These include new warp knitting machines which have a lower energy consumption due to their intelligent technology, and application concepts with increased advantages for the environment. One of the highlights will show how it is possible to replace formerly mainly woven articles with warp-knitted textiles as an ecological alternative. An example in this respect is Terry.Eco for the manufacture of terry articles.
The warp preparation business will also be present, displaying a sizing machine offering the minimum in resource consumption. Less demand for water, energy and sizing agents also means fewer costs and, says Karl Mayer, even more advantages for the customers. The technical core of the machine with a focus on the ecological aspects, such as a new direct beamer with improved price-performance ratio, will also be premiered at the show.
For the production of technical textiles, Karl Mayer will be demonstrating its expertise in areas such as the building and construction industry where, the company notes, it is possible to open up new, lucrative areas of application by using textiles, such as textile concrete, produced on Karl Mayer machines.
During the Shanghai show, Karl Mayer will also invite its guests to take part in an in-house show at its plant in Changzhou. Here, the visitors will have the opportunity to see a performance show of the new COP 5 EL equipped with five guide bars, as well as lace raschel machines featuring an excellent price-performance ratio, and new developments in the double-raschel and terry-fabric fields. Visitors will also have the chance to see market-oriented developments for the warp preparation business, particularly for those in the shirting and sheeting markets and the denim sector.
