Obertshausen – Karl Mayer will present a range of warp knitting, warp preparation and technical textile solutions at ITM 2026 in Istanbul, focusing on productivity and cost efficiency in a challenging market environment.
The company will exhibit in Hall 3, Booth 303 A at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center from 9 – 13th June.
A central exhibit will be the HKS 4-M EL ECO, a high-speed tricot machine positioned as a cost-effective platform for apparel production. The machine combines electronic guide bar control with a four-bar configuration, enabling flexible patterning while maintaining high output and competitive operating costs.
At the show, the HKS 4-M EL ECO will run a textured outerwear fabric featuring a crepe-on-crepe effect. The structure is created through a crinkled ground combined with strip-like elements that give an appliqué appearance, illustrating the machine’s capability to produce value-added surfaces for fashion applications.
Karl Mayer will also present developments in weft insertion technology, including updates to its TM Weft platform. Enhancements such as extended weft repeat, multi speed operation and additional weft ends are designed to expand pattern flexibility and enable more complex constructions for apparel and home textiles.
In tricot knitting, the company will highlight a range of fabrics including velour, corduroy, terry warp knits and upholstery materials, targeting both apparel and furnishing segments. Open-mesh curtain articles produced on the HKS 3-M EL PLUS will demonstrate lightweight structures for interior applications.

Performance-oriented fabrics will be shown from the HKS 2-SE, including lightweight sports and athleisure textiles engineered for high UV protection through dense fabric construction rather than chemical finishes. Karl Mayer previously presented a sun-protective jacket based on this approach in April 2026.
In Raschel knitting, the TEXTRONIC multibar jacquard platform will be used to produce eyelash lace with four-way stretch. The construction is designed to combine elasticity, fit and tear resistance, addressing demand for higher-performance lace in lingerie and fashion segments.
Technical textile capabilities will be represented by the RS 2 Net machine for shade net production, alongside selected application-specific fabrics for regional markets. Warp preparation solutions for denim and home textiles will also be presented via video, emphasising process efficiency upstream of knitting.
Karl Mayer will complement its machine exhibits with a textile innovation display covering tricot, lace and weft-inserted fabrics tailored to Turkish market requirements, as well as materials based on Tencel Lyocell and Modal fibres with Micro technology.
“Right now, it’s especially important to stay broadly informed and break new ground with the right support,” said Bastian Fritsch, senior sales manager for Turkey at Karl Mayer, noting expected visitor interest from both Turkey and Egypt amid ongoing shifts in regional textile supply chains.
The company’s recently established Textile Innovation Center in Obertshausen will also support customer trials on tricot, Raschel and net machines, reflecting a broader industry focus on application development and faster commercialisation of new warp knitted products.
