Saerbeck – Saertex, the Germany-based manufacturer of warp-knitted technical fabrics, is accelerating its global footprint with a combination of new distribution structures and added manufacturing capacity for advanced multiaxial and non-crimp fabric (NCF) solutions.
In Turkey, Saertex has appointed Neva Composites as its distribution and technical support partner. Neva will supply Saertex multiaxial fabrics made from glass, carbon and natural fibres, alongside customised lightweight reinforcement concepts tailored to specific lay-up and processing requirements.
For Turkish processors working with infused, RTM or prepreg systems, this means faster access to engineered warp-knitted structures, improved local service and application-oriented advice.
Neva Composites has been active in the composites market since 1996 and operates sites in Tuzla, Antalya and Yalova, as well as a presence in the US. Â It is embedded in marine, aerospace and automotive supply chains, offering material selection, laminate design and engineering support.
By combining Neva’s process expertise with Saertex’s portfolio of multiaxial and NCF reinforcements, the partnership aims to help Turkish manufacturers fine-tune drape behaviour, fibre orientation and areal weight to achieve better mechanical performance with efficient processing.
Saertex is also expanding its knitting capacity for carbon-based reinforcements in Asia following the establishment of Saertex SCF China (Specialty Carbon Fabrics) in August 2025. The new company is developing a production site in Pinghu, near Shanghai, dedicated to technical carbon textiles and carbon NCFs for wind energy, automotive and aerospace applications. Production is scheduled to start in March 2026.
Equipped with modern machinery for manufacturing high-quality carbon NCFs, the Pinghu facility is designed to meet demanding quality requirements while shortening supply chains into the Chinese market.
Local production of warp-knitted carbon fabrics will allow Saertex to offer shorter lead times, greater flexibility in order quantities and closer technical collaboration with design and process engineers in the region. As lightweight construction and composite-intensive designs continue to advance, Saertex’s combined moves in Turkey and China underscore its strategy to position warp-knitted multiaxial and non-crimp fabrics at the centre of next-generation composite structures.
“China is a key market for innovative lightweight solutions and offers great potential for our carbon fabrics. With our new location in Pinghu, we are establishing a base that will enable us to supply customers in China even more efficiently and flexibly,” said Roland Nowicki, CEO of Sâ aâ eâ râ tâ eâ x.
Founded in 1982, Saertex has built its reputation on warp-knitted multiaxial fabrics, non-crimp fabrics and fibreglass linings produced across seven locations on four continents. Its plants in Germany, South Africa, France, the USA and India supply reinforcement solutions for applications ranging from wind turbine blades to automotive structures and industrial components, where precise fibre alignment and stitch control are critical.
