Asian flatbed market rallies as double jersey shipments soar

With deliveries of double jersey circular knitting machinery soaring by nearly 50% in 2009, the flat knitting sector also saw encouraging growth across a number of countries in South and South East Asia.
In the electronic flatbed knitting machinery sector although falls were witnessed in almost all regions, reflecting double digit declines in shipments to 21 of the 36 largest buying industries, strong growth was recorded in shipments to those in Bangladesh, Japan, Macau, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
