Euratex urges European member states to prioritise funding and investment in textile sector in the next EU budget

Brussels – Euratex, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation, has called on European leaders to safeguard funding for industrial competitiveness and ensure that these resources translate into concrete investment support in European companies.

With Europe facing increasing global competition, high energy costs and a weakening industrial base, and ahead of crucial discussions among EU Member States on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2028–2034, Euratex also warns that reducing the resources available for competitiveness would undermine the EU's ambition to implement the recommendations of the Draghi Report and strengthen European industry.
