Unifi slips to a loss despite improved sales

Recycled and synthetic yarn producer Unifi returned to positive gross profit in the quarter, but reported a net loss against a prior-year asset-sale-led profit

Greenboro – Textured yarn supplier Unifi has reported a fourth-quarter net loss of US$1.2 million for the period ended 28 June 2026, compared with net income of US$15.5 million a year earlier, when earnings were boosted by a US$35.8 million gain on the sale of a manufacturing facility.

The Greensboro, North Carolina-based producer recorded net sales of US$144.2 million, up 4.1% year on year. Repreve recycled-fibre products generated US$40.2 million, accounting for 28% of quarterly revenue.
